Bushings for front and rear axles

  • Suspension bushings are functional parts of the suspension systems which act as a joint between suspension components and structural elements of the chassis or the body. Suspension joints have to support the loads produced under all driving conditions and must isolate the chassis structure, minimising the transfer of vibrating forces in order to meet requirements for NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness), durability and dynamic performance established for the vehicle. Suspension bushings have the following main functions:

    • Support the suspension’s loads.

    • Isolate the vibrations caused by irregularities in the road.

    • Satisfy the geometric and elastic requirements of the suspension as a whole.

  • In the majority of developments, bushings are designed and developed with structural interface parts with the suspension and the chassis, such as metal mounts and frameworks.

  • CMP AUTOMOTIVE Group AVS Division has extensive experience in the design and development of both the elastic part and the metallic parts.
